Every big thing starts with something small.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step; an ocean becomes vast through the gathering of streams.
I am Zhangcun Yan, a Ph.D. candidate at Tongji University in transportation engineering. My research focuses on intelligent transportation systems, active safety control, micro-driving behavior analysis, and machine-learning-based traffic safety applications.
My belief is “Technology makes life better.” I aim to address complex traffic safety problems using data-driven methods, high-resolution traffic video, and machine learning.
I was a visiting student in Professor Nicolas Saunier’s group at Polytechnique Montréal, affiliated with Université de Montréal.
To-do list and weekly schedule.
